I have a Model 70 in .270win with a lightweight barrel contour. The muzzle currently measures .558 in diameter. The barrel manufacturer says they can thread this barrel for 1/2" x 28 threads.

With that little diameter, I believe I'll only have about .029 of shoulder. Thoughts on using the Rearden Atlas mounting system for a supressor? Will this be doable?

Have it threaded 1/2-28 with the 20* Sig/Q style shoulder and run one of these. Its cheaper and easier than having the shoulder permanently added. I have no clue why the hunting community hasn't caught on to this simple and easy solution. I have multiple Tikka and Savage barrels done this way.
