Thread Protector for Browning Hells Canyon

Thanks in advance for any advice

I’m looking for a thread protector for a Browning Hells Canyon Long range McMillan stock. Gun is a 2018. I’m a lefty and got the left-hand version they had available for a year. I messaged Browning and they replied that they don’t have a thread protector available.

It’s in 6.5 Creedmoor. The recoil is not a big deal so I’d rather have the thread protector than deal with the noise of the muzzle brake for when I can’t get to my ear protection when I’m taking a shot while hunting.

When I Google search, I’m not finding anything available. If anybody knows of a place to find one sharing the information would be much appreciated.

You'll want a 9/16" bit for the hole and a piece of metal that matches the OD of your barrel and length of your threads.

Literally any thread protector with the correct threading will work. I’ve got dozens of them and not a single Glen one is any better than another.

Get the cheapest one you can that has the thread pattern you need.

Of all the things to over think, thread protectors aren’t one of them.

PM me. I have a couple in the odd Browning thread pattern I will send you for free. One of them is bound to work. I had my barrel shortened and rethreaded.
