Thoughts on the Beartooth game range in Montana?

Curious if anyone out there has any thoughts on elk hunting in the Beartooth game range (4-fifty-five), specifically the rifle bull tag. I've been putting in there the last few years and have done quite a bit of research. I have been trying to find someone whos had the tag but haven't had any luck yet. I know there are some long distances to hike and horses would be helpful. I have pack llamas so I would at least have those to help me get a elk out if a guy was to get one. The thing I'm the most curious about is does it take full on winter to get the elk migrating in the game range or will they start migrating in when the first snow comes? Any knowledge would be super appreciated. Feel free to PM, Thanks!

Welcome to Rokslide. We don't discuss specific units here and the beartooth is it's own unit.
