Thoughts on new iPhones or stick with Android?

Personal phone is a Samsung Note. Work phone is an Apple XR. The ONLY thing the iPhone does better for me is location sharing on a text thread.

Otherwise I am not a fan whatsoever. Android does everything in a more intuitive way. Apple makes it only THEIR way. Want a percentage in your batter bar, nope, they took that away.

I miss the little blinking light on my Android that indicates a missed call, email or text message.

Until recently I have had good service out of my android phone (almost 5 years old).
However I have had several frustrations. The most recent is the lack of privacy and all the pop ups and random notifications that are occuring.

I'm in need of a new phone as this one keeps corrupting my photos... I had them saved at the SD card and in one of the updates they were all pushed to the phone..and now they won't transfer back or even open on the phone.
With the claims in photo quality and simplicity I'm strongly considering one of the new iphones (pro max)...

I have a macbook pro ..so somewhat in the ecosystem but not necessarily comitted.
i really want privacy on my phone and the ability to take as close to DSLR quality as possible to my legit camera

Convince me of a phone to buy
Any of the iPhone 11,12, or 13 Pros or bigger will do just what you want. The cameras will never outperform your DSLR especially if you edit photos on your MacBook and you zoom in, etc. I switched from an android to iPhone 11 Pro and my life has been so much better since. The messages app, FaceTime, and Airdrop between my phone and MacBook Pro are unbeatable features I can’t seem to live without now

Waiting on the Pixel 6 Pro here. Supposed to ship this week, but we'll see. Current phone is 3+ years old and starting to have issues so it was time. Hope I like it...

What's CP?
child porn, apple has decided they need to search everyones photos to look for images

its alway a trojan horse approach surveil billions pretending to stop thousands. and nothing like announcing (well before they start) so they can pretend they had quasi support and the actual offenders know to stop storing images.... if they were actually using this format in the first place.

between this and the announcement resently they were going to start sharing facial recondition images/technology with government makes me want to scrap all of this
