Hi everyone,

I see these are on sale so I wondered if anybody had experience with it compared to kenai or uncompahgre? I know it's a step down but it's pretty cheap right now. Which makes me think they didn't sell very well.....

Thanks,
Tim

The teton is sold on clearance and regular inventory. I bet the outlet ones are not perfect, slight defects, returns etc.
I briefly had the FL puffy and its warmer and bigger.
I currently have the Teton puffy and when layered right it can be warm enough in to mid season. Teton is less warm than the kenai due to more fill in the core.

I wore the Teton with my guide jacket and 125 merino with temperature of 38 and wind chill of 23. I was ok but not toasty warm. If I had a heavier base layer and a wind proof shell I would have been toasty warm. I also don't have much natural insulation.
I chose the teton for it being quieter, stretchy and more form fitting over the FL. I chose the teton over kenai because they are close in warmth and didn't need the pockets and pit zips.
For late season the teton can become a nice mid layer under my Target brand puffy.

Some one also told me the teton is a bit roomier in the forearms than the kenai

I have both the Teton and Kenai. The Teton is a bit roomier fit overall, including the arms. The jackets feel similar and I agree that they are similar in warmth. I like the pit zips on the Kenai because they allow you to hike with it on and let some of the heat out, but that to me is more of a bonus And not a must have feature. The Kenai has the slight edge overall because of the features and extra core insulation, but the Teton is a nice jacket.
