Went back up to the range today with my Omega for round two of sighting in.

Did 10 shots a few weeks ago with 209.

Took it home and cleaned it well. Breach plug removed, thor solvent, brush, etc. Looks pretty good.

I started on .502 size of the 300 grain thors. They were a little snug but left the rifling marks as thor noted in the test kit.

Today when I loaded the first one I couldn’t get it down the pipe. Had to remove plug and back it out. Cleaned some more on the spot after I removed all the powder. Tried again. Same result.

Came home and cleaned again. Pulled the test kit back out. The .502s still won’t fit. .501s go down with little resistance (but not to the point of falling down)

Do I switch to .501s or do I need to clean this with better technique?

When I tried the Thor test kit with my Omega, the .500's were the only ones that would go down the barrel. Same for my CVA Accura V2. In your case, I definitely wouldn't be trying to the .502's.
