Anybody have experience with these?

Seems like a good gun for the price. Thinking about picking one up in .308 for the wife and the kid to use when she is old enough to hunt.

My daughter and son both have the youth models in 7-08. After sighting in my daughter's gun, her first group was sub MOA and left a lot of men on the range speachless that a 12yr old girl could shoot so well.

IMO a great gun for the money. We went with DNZ mounts and a very inexpensive scope to start with.

There have been $75 rebates available.

I have the 7mm rem mag. I bought the gun just for fun and to see how good a t/c would shoot (curious). I haven't found any ammo this thing won't stack bullets on top of each other at 100 yards. I loaded some 168 Berger classics with some R22 and got sub .25 moa at 100. It's a little bulky, but built solid. Smooth action and no creep in the trigger with a clean break. For $500 for a weather shield finish it is money well spent for a great rifle.

I bought one in 30/06 about 5 years ago. It shoots my reloads of 55.0 gr of IMR-4350 with a Barnes 168 TTSX into one hole at 100 yards, and 3/4 inch @ 200 yards. Federal 150 grain Premium Factory shoot about .75 moa.

I have one in 338 win mag as back up to my 340 wby. It shoots better and it is lighter I may make it my primary.
So Far I love the rifle

I'm gonna have to see if that's available if I buy at cabelas. I'm thinking its not since they don't stock the Venture at my store, but I'm gonna check.

If I could get a $75 rebate combined with my Cabelas points I could basically get one "free". I like that idea!

I grabbed the rebate form and would be happy to mail it to you. I don't think you would have any problem getting the rebate. T/C just wants your address and a sales receipt showing the gun purchase.

Wow!

Thanks for the heads up on that, really appreciate it! Confirms that I'll be getting one before the end of the year...now to decide on 7-08 or .308....
