Cool little video our Fish & Game put out this week. My hats off to her and she seems to know what she’s doing but check out her daypack! Is “Over-prepared” a fitting title?

Check out that bone saw!

yeah.... no :)

I wouldn't be comfortable with what she pulled out of that pack for an unexpected night out; couldn't she have found a bigger saw?

It's one thing to be on a hunt where you carry your entire camp, but if I was coming back to that wall tent every day, I could live without things like the Jetboil.
I used to carry my Jetboil for my afternoon coffee, if I knew I was going to be out all day. Now I just take the thermos with already hot coffee with me. (y) Man, I hate these new "reply" boxes.......what happened to the old ones?

I kept giving a buddy crap this year for his oversized filled pack. He looked like he was heading out for a 7 day hunt every day. I still have no idea what all he had in there.

I remember one time when I was young and we were hunting elk & my dad stopped and opened up his backpack, and he had brought the entire loaf of bread in a crushproof Tupperware, the entire package of salami and cheese, and you guessed it, a bottle of mayonnaise. Although it could’ve been a plastic bottle if I remember right.

My uncle said “what the hell?” He said,

“I didn’t have time to make sandwiches this morning so I just brought everything. Ha ha Ha.”

I remember helping my buddy retrieve his water from his day pack and finding a big heavy pair of insulated leather gloves on an early season archery hunt when it was like 80°.

And I got to admit there was a time I used to a pack my MSR whisper light with the pint bottle along so I can make coffee in the middle of the day. Rokslide ruined me for doing that ever again.

LOL. I have two nice lightweight stoves. Perform flawlessly. At the car. Never used them other than that. 😀
