I was in the same boat and landed on an Exo K4 2200. I can use it all throughout the year here at home with the 2200 pack. I have my eye on the classifieds looking for the 3600 or the 5000 pack to swap out closer to my trip. That way I can use it for many different purposes and it's not an expensive pack just sitting all year waiting for one or two trips.
