Hey all,

new here and first time posting.

I’m in the market for a pair of thermal binoculars (not just a monocular) and I’m trying to narrow things down before I spend the money. Right now the two models that have most peaked my interest are the Pulsar Mergers and the AGM Voyage. Theres things that I like and dislike about both. I like pulsars reputation but I wan’t a fan of the functionality of the mergers when I tried them, particularly the focus ring being by the objective lens but I’m sure I could get over that. I like the way the Voyage functions (plus it has NV which I know isn’t as good as a single use device), but I’ve heard mixed things on the company since they’re Chinese based. I’m also not quite clear on whether or not the ObervIR is meant as a replacement for the Voyage (it doesn’t seem like it given the price point of each but I could be wrong. ) Use case will be detecting and identifying animals both for hunting and just for watching (deer, coyotes, wolves, etc.) I’d love to hear any opinions you guys have on both models I mentioned above as well as any others you guys think are worth looking at.

Thanks in advance!
