There’s a special spot in hell for poachers....they’re punishment, Pat Durkin sits down and tells them stories all day.

Maybe he’s a great guy, I don’t know. What I do know is that it just took me 3 days to finish the latest ME Podcast....(And I used the skip button a lot)

I quit altogether after the bear attack episode, not sure why they decided to turn the podcast into a bad comedy show.

The occasional show with a decent outside guest is ok, but the meateater posse comedy hours are brutal to listen to.

Tell me about it. I still listen to it, but I don't bother downloading the live show episodes. They really ham it up for the crowd and it's annoying.

I actually don't mind. Bit of a stutter but the guy has a lot of good things to say. For all who don't like listening to him, he does put out some pretty damn good reading material.

As a guy who makes his living writing, I can confirm that speaking (especially extemporaneously) and writing are two vastly different skills. There’s a reason I stick to writing...;-)

I enjoyed the last episode with Pat.. I guess we all have things that irritate us but this one surprises me.

I'm the opposite. I enjoy the mix up with the ME podcast. I like the live shows. So far I don't mind Cal's week in review. Interesting and quick so I can handle it. Have really struggled to get into The Hunting Collective. Nothing egregious, Just don't like his speaking style and story telling ability nearly as much as Rinella and Janis.

I like Rinella, Janis, and Cal and they have some interesting guests. I don’t always agree, and I don’t think they do either but they have a knack for having a discussion with people of opposing viewpoints while politely challenging them. ( APR guy, that wolf-kook lady are two examples )

I haven’t listened to THC for quite some time. I just find the host to be unpleasurable to my ears, to put it nicely.

My least favorite MeatEater podcasts are the ones with wiredtohunt. Partially because I’m just not that interested in whitetails. And partially because the man is highly skilled in taking a 2 minute story that could be made better by adding some details and making it a 5 minute story, somehow into a 20 minute snooooozefest. Seems like a passionate guy, i just don’t have the attention span for a draaaawn out whitetail story.

I like this last podcast and I like the comedy component. There really isn't/aren't many folks out there like us hunters that would laugh at "hunt" humor like we do.
