The Welfare Cattle Empire That Controls Your Public Lands: article

Where are they cut off from blm grazing land? I have never had any one tell me i cant hunt blm. Corner crossing seems to be a state problem are you pissed that nr cant hunt wilderness in wyoming?

The dog thing has no bearing on land access so start a different thread to complain about that
Dog screws up owners rights to land they've paid for.
Restrictions on hunters' access they should have rights to irritates me, but i personally have no desire to hunt Wyoming.

Ive literally seen that very thing.

Thats why i get so confused about the uproar for APRs differences of ideas about wildlife and conservation than a traditional land owner. When that land is taken out of agricultural production - the pitchforks must be sharpened and torches lit. If the same land had been purchased to do the same thing (managed for the benefit of wildlife and reducing ag output) by a billionare for exclusive hunting there'd be no complaints.

In fact - the same people who wish the apr couldnt own land - would be chomping at the bit to figure out how to carve out special NR LO hunting opportunities for a billionare effectively doing the same thing.
APR didn't get off to a very good start. I was on the region 7 CAC when APR was first starting up. FWP set up a presentation with APR so the CAC could learn more about APR. The APR spokesman ether didn't know his audience or didn't care. It was a presentation designed to separate environmentally concerned wealthy eastern elite from their money. It went over like a lead balloon with salt of the earth ranchers scraping out a living in eastern Montana. It was a long presentation and roughly 20 years ago so I can not remember everyting, but let me sumerize in a few sentances from a ranchers point of view.
We are APR , we are the smart people and we are going to save the prairie. The ranchers that live there now are destroying it because they are uneducated hayseed hicks that don't know any better. We are going to show them how superior our ideas are and in time they will understand this and change their ways too.
I am pretty easy going and by the time the APR spokesman was done, I was kind of hot. You can just imagine how pissed off the more hot headed ranchers were. That spread like wildfire in the ranching circles. No rancher that saw that is ever going to fully trust APR.
To there credit, they have changed there message for the better, maybe they have even changed there stripes.
