The wait is over Tikka 7PRC

That’s awesome, just listened to shoot 2 hunt podcast this morning and they are saying they only come in a 1:9 twist, looks like they got the wrong memo. Have fun with that thing

Having recently used/watched a 7mm PRC in a 20" barreled Browning x-bolt for a LR class I dont know that I'd want a UL rifle in that chambering unless I was 100% shooting suppressed. Spotting targets is difficult to say the least. If you were a heathen and a moron you could use a brake I guess.... ;)

So we get a 7prc before a 6 creed, for f sakes........jump on that bandwagon Tikka! Must figured 8tw 243 was enough for the 6mm bois!
I guess the holdup is European version of SAAMI not blessing the 6CM as good to go yet. I did buy an 8 twist .243 20" threaded and its sweet, but would buy a 6CM tomorrow for sure if tikka was able to release one.

Can confirm that a stock 7PRC in a Tikka Lite honestly sucks to shoot after a while.

CIP approved 6cm in May of 22.

I have the same browning, shooting suppressed is a must and a real bonus if your suppressor also has a brake on it. I would bet the tikka is fine to shoot with something like the TBAC magnus RR or the silencerco omega 300 w/brake. For me it would be an if and only if.

I grew up being required by law to shoot slugs out of shotguns for deer hunting so I am not in particular recoil shy but flinching and being able to spot my shots/trace are two different things. I'd have zero issues using this rifle combo to shoot at critters to whatever range is necessary but I couldn't call my own shots until the shot distance got to 400 or 500 yards.

100% agree.

Got one coming from euro optic. 22” threaded barrel, 1/8 twist. Was waiting for a 300 wsm with a 1/10 twist but I think I can get by with 180’s in the 7 prc. The majority of guys I know with factory barrels shooting the Tikka in 300 wsm with 1/11 are shooting 180’s anyway.

So the euro optic link says 5/8x24 threads, a Tikka lite contour at 22in will not support that size thread. Are these special contours? Or a missprint on thread size?
