Man, that looks sharp! the modified stock is super tidy looking. Is that a Graco butt plate?

Maybe you can help me. I'm a little unclear on exactly what the match chamber does. It's a slight tighter dimension than a standard .22lr chamber, correct? Does that affect what kind of ammo you can run? Match ammo only?
It is a greco butt plate.

Match is a little tighter which can be a bit more picky with ammo. Mainly match ammo is what I have noticed. It doesn't care for bulk like rem or win or fed. It really likes lapua or sk, I have shot some great groups with rws 50 and some decent groups with eley, but this rifle like lapua/sk stuff most.

CZ 457 Pro Varmint training rifle build is started!
All the parts listed below have been ordered.

Rifle on the way from a small shop in Washington.
SWFA 10x42 Mil
SWFA Low 30mm Rings
DIP Pic Rail
DIP Bolt Knob
DIP Mag Release Extension
Area 419 Improved Pic Bipod Rail
Titan Cheek Rest
Yo Dave trigger spring

I’m planning on ordering a suppressor as well. Leaning towards a Dead Air Mask.

*Update*
Just found a Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x32 Mil scope after looking for months. It will match up with my 2 hunting rifles, one with a 32mm and one with a 42mm version. This will be going on the CZ rather than the SWFA.

I'll play, our 2 457 Varmint MTRs next to a Franken 10/22
Chassis is 16" barrel with area 419 break
Varmint MTR is 20" with Harrell tuner
A419 15Moa (16") and 30Moa (20") scope rail
March 5x50/Eratac mount and ATACR 7x35/NF mount
Atlas/area 419 rail/adapter
Chassis has yodave trigger set at 8.5oz with DIP trigger cover (bscar on order)
Mtr has timney @10oz
Polished the snot out of the bolts to mirror finishes and added A419 knobs
Anarchy outdoors penguin grip
And atlas monopods on both
The two targets are second time out pre tuner for the 20" MTR ammo testing. We've more or less settled on Eley Match/benchrest outlaw but more testing needs to be done...oh darn

Super cool. I was not aware MDT made a chassis for the CZs.

Can I ask, why a brake on a 22lr?

How do you like the Mask on the CZ? Does the factory threads work well with it, or is there a need to run a spacer in front of the suppressor in order for it to mate up the the shoulder?
The Mask on the CZ is plug and play. Screw it on to the factory threads and you're good to go.

With CCI Suppressor .22 rounds you can shoot one big jagged hole at 50 yards. Very accurate. Great for staying quiet in the woods picking off squirrels, rabbits, etc.

457 with 16.5” factory barrel. Yo Dave trigger spring, MDT XRS chassis, Athlon Midas Tac 6-24 in Vortex Pro rings on a DIP 25 MOA rail. Anarchy Outdoors bolt knob and extended mag release. Very happy with this setup so far for PRS style matches.

I am surprised at how many Lefties have rifles and are wanting more. I'm interested if anyone snagged a lefty Bergara yet?

I should NOT be surprised at how much quality .22 cost. I am rather lucky I guess in that my TactiCool shoots the Norma TAC-22 very very well. It's $9.99 a box, but at least is seems available on the shelf almost everywhere now.

Here is the 457 Pro Varmint all put together with all of the mods that I listed previously. It is going to be awesome to have the same scope on it that I hunt with. Only thing missing is the Dead Air Mask, which is waiting on E File approval. Have not shot it yet, so it has yet to be zeroed, hence the turrets positioned as they are. I added up the cost of this little project.. didn't quite expect to spend $3,000 on a .22!

I already posted the photo of my 452 FS with a 1-4x Leupold in a squirrel thread but I will add it here, too.

I also have a 452 Varmint with a 10X SWFA. My daughter has a 452 Scout with a 2.5-7X Weaver rimfire scope. I wish I would have also bought an Ultra Lux (my brother has one of those) and a left hand American when they were closing them out.
I kick myself for not buying an fs when I had the chance. I put it off and now they are impossible to find. I did get a great deal on a Royal and really like it but it's no FS. Nice rifle!

Man, that turned out sharp! Almost makes me with I'd left mine black on black. It's going to look even better (more balanced) with the can on it.

I hope you don't end up costing me money. I was lying in bed last night thinking "should I get another NXS so the trainer matches my hunting rifle..." What's going to happen is that I'll swap my 2.5-10x42 on there to see how I like it and then I'll be buying another one... Thanks a lot man.

Can't wait to hear a range report.

I took my CZ 457 to an Appleseed Rimfire Known Distance (KD) shoot this weekend; shot a 50/50 on the 100 yard course and a 49/50 on the 200 yard course (the white sticker at 10 o'clock in the photo is the shot I missed; dropped it on the 150 yard stage).

Course of fire for the 200 yard course is:
10 shots offhand at 50 yards, 2 min time limit
10 shots seated at 100 yards, transition from standing to seated, 1 mag change, 55 sec time limit
10 shots prone at 150 yards, transition from standing to prone, 1 mag change, 65 sec time limit
10 shots prone at 200 yards, 5 min time limit (these shots count double)

Same course of fire for the 100 yard course, except the ranges are 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards, and the target is 50% smaller.

No bipods or bags, just slings.
