When I talked to Ryan at the show about it, I mentioned my Scythe has a ping sound to it. He state this will have a very different sound to it, even though it is Titanium. I really like my Scythe (regardless of perceived sound), but I will be buying one of these.

I think most of us just use a wrist snap and call it good. As you use it, carbon builds up on the threads and acts as a bit of a thread locker, even when removing and putting it back on regularly.

I went to anti seize paste after I had to take the rubber mallet to an ultra 7. That or shoot it hot and grab the oven kit.

We’ll form has in the past been pretty vocal about actually torquing direct threads only

All my cans are taper mounts at this point until possibly this one so I have no experience in that area and just wondered since I remembered seeing that on here

A lot of times this works. Sometimes chucking the rifle in a vice and hitting it with MAN or a strap wrench is the only thing that’ll stop it backing off. I had a scythe like that. Maybe I should be glad all of its baffles were trying to escape at the same rate

No anti-seize, hand tighten, then use a wrench and get it tight. They don’t move after that.

I'm not sure I'd use a strap wrench if the direct thread adapter is Ti. I'm not sure what would happen, but doesn't seem like a great idea.

I found it also helps keep it tight if you shoot it to get it hot, then additionally tighten by hand as much as possible.

We are way overthinking this DT issue. Shoot a few rounds to warm it up, then get it as hand-tight as possible. Unless you have shit threads, they don't come loose.

Only needed a strap wrench to get one off, never to stay put on.

All my cans have been DT... even my magnus CB turned itself into direct thread since CB mount is locked in suppressor lol, always hand tight torque, never had issue coming loose or getting them off
