Apparently we need a medical expert to discuss field trauma and tourniquet use on the podcast šŸ¤·
Problem is, you can have medical ā€œfactsā€ that two perfectly knowledgeable medical professionals will argue about. Throw in what if scenarios and austere medicine and anyone who claims to be an expert would be full of it šŸ˜‚

So small.

I have a different TQ in my car, and carry this (or CAT-5) in my pocket if Iā€™m at the range or in the field. If Iā€™m with a buddy who was in the service, we tell each other where our trauma kit (often only a TQ, but sometimes with more) is on our person so the other can give aid. Maybe we are Chicken Little. But it doesnā€™t take much time, effort, space or weight - for me.

But I also have a gear problem.

EDIT - ā€œa buddy who was in the serviceā€ is descriptive of him. I am a civilian.

Carrying a TQ is not a gear problem - NOT carrying a TQ is a gear problem.

PS Nice Tracker ESCs! :)

Not carrying one might land some gear in the classifieds so in a yin\Yang wayā€¦ same, same but different.

I feel like I could draw a perfect rendition of your house because I see so many pictures of it in the background of photos.
I do post too much. But this isnā€™t my house. Guys trip weekend.

No, but I didnā€™t try to look. Iā€™m too lazy
@Ryan Avery: where did you find your Lightning Strike firestarter? And if that turns out to not be its name, and you had "another choice that's not your first choice" (a la Flight of the Conchords), what other name would you call it?

Personally, I don't like flint and steel no matter how effective they might be (and this looks to be a good one) I prefer these, similar concept (can be put under water on fire and not go out) but I can be more precise on where the flame lands and it burns a bit longer. If and when the trusted bic fails.
