The Season ‘25 Outdoors Chasing Dreams

Hey y’all! It’s been a minute, but I used to do a “Season” thread over in the Elk forum. After talking with [mention]robby denning [/mention] we decided to put this here. It may not get a post everyday depending on service, and where in the world we are on that particular day. However it will get posts majority of days, personal social media and YouTube updates. It’s going to be fun. A long story, short version. We’ve been planning this for 6 months. We just bought a new camper and picked it up 4 days ago. Took 2 days to pack it and tidy up some personal things on our end. We plan to be on the road as much as possible. We will start with shed hunting. Mixing in turkey hunting, bear hunting, work things, and just keep grinding through the fall. Stay tuned, feel free to subscribe to the personal socials and stuff if you like. Here we go!

Living quarters for the foreseeable future. ‘24 Apex Nano Offgrid. 23.5 feet. Kitchen slide out. 3900# dry. We shopped a lot, and this is where we settled. Checks all of our boxes, light enough to pull with our half tons.

We combined for 16 miles, 13 sheds, 3 deadheads on day 1. Pretty rough going. Lots of old, small, and chewed antlers. Hoping we find the zone on this farm tomorrow. Night 2 in the camper went well. I did replace the mattress with an 8” memory foam mattress right off the bat. That was a good choice. Sleeping well!!

Pretty rough 24 hours. 65+ wind gusts. Straight 25-40 mph. From 78° to 34° and snow. Cleared out early this morning. Got some walking in this afternoon. We would up with 9 antlers and some old cars. 1953 Ford was pretty cool. Pics to come tomorrow.

Super windy here again today. About 4 miles in and 5 antlers. Nothing too major, did see a nice 130ish holding both sides. Up to 24 this week. Probably pulling out and heading on to the next state tomorrow afternoon or Sunday morning. This guy had amazing potential. Hate to find them this way.
