Need help on rifle decision

I currently have a Remington 700 Long Range chambered in 7mm Rem Mag that came with a bell and Carlson stock. The rifle is heavier than what I need, coming in at 9lbs bare rifle weight. Trying to decide between getting a Tikka T3X superlite in 7PRC or just swapping the heavy barrel with a fluted SS or carbon fiber barrel on my R700. Both options would cost close to the same

The t3x would generally be considered the better option on this forum

Yup. New gun.

9# is heavy but it mitigates recoil.

I have an older T3 SL in 7RM. One of my favorites.

I would get a Tikka, but not a super lite in 7 PRC. A .243 would serve you well.
