First sit brought 3 does right at dark. Went back in right away the following morning, Monday. Unfortunately it was the weekend when I found it, and the loggers were off. I pulled a daylight to dark sit, but had to listen to the saw, skidders, and semis all day, 3/8 of a mile away.

Too close. It was affecting deer movement and I honestly just didn’t want the noise. I wanted to hunt in peace.

Found a great pinch point. No people sign. First morning at 10:30 rattled in a good buck. He winded me at 24 yards. Needed 3 more steps.

Friday November 1 would be my third all day sit. Then I was heading straight to Kansas. Forecast sunny and 50. Light winds. Should be a good day. Ended up cloudy and rainy?? WTH! Heavy rain starting at 4:30. I pulled set at 3, and beat the rain. Headed for Kansas.

Got to bed about 2 am in Kansas. Honestly didn’t want to hunt. Really just wanted to sleep in. However my buddy Nate said your in KS fool, we’re going hunting. 5:30 was early, however not early enough for the get ready, 45 minute drive, 1/2 mile walk. We were finally in stand. About 20 minutes after shooting light. We let things settle another 20 minutes. Then we did the first rattle sequence. If you know my style, it’s very call heavy during the rut. About 20 minutes later Nate turned to me and was going to say let’s hit the horns together again,but instead said, big buck.........
