The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

I sold my STRK and MSTY late last year and early this year and had a small loss of $300. I've never been so happy to take a loss. :) If I sold today my loss would have been $30k.

My guess is Saylor will go down with the BTC dingy (it was a ship, VLCC to be specific, a couple years ago) but even the vessel is shrinking just like BTC. While the BTC dingy founders, he will continue to buy more (if he can) and continue espousing all its merits.

I certainly see, and like, some of what BTC can offer compared to fiat currency, but it's still all about what the next person will pay you at this point.

And much of the validation and acceptance needed by BTC is what will make it just like a digital fiat currency IMHO.

OTOH, I could be completely wrong on this topic, but time will tell.

I'll preface this with I am not a bit coin fan, I own none, or Microstrategy.

I think it will return to and past it's previous ATH in a handful of years. Based on nothing, just like every other time it rebounds to a new ATH after a crypto winter. I don't believe this enough to risk enough money to make any difference in my life, so, again, I do not own it. I would never put that much money in something this risky.

The question is can Saylor pay dividends for however long this winter will last. I think the answer is a very easy no. The dividends will come down, then probably just be cut altogether. There is no mechanism that they produce anything of any value except bitcoin go up.(yes I know they maintain some products, but it will not even close to cover their obligations) And if it doesn't.... all he can really do is return your own capital to you at significant loss if he keeps the dividend going. Can they weather being leveraged and significantly underwater for 3 years? Probably not well, but they did survive the last one.

Work is getting a new HSA company to work with. I can leave my old one intact or transfer everything to the new one but to transfer, I have to liquidate my investments. Now the question, do I move or leave it? If I move to the new company, do I liquidate now or wait a couple weeks? Damn decisions.

Hey, tell us what positions you are selling so we can buy cause I’m sure they will skyrocket as soon as you sell! 😂

Roaring back. Last 2 days almost made up for last week's slide. AXON finally moving in the right direction. They crush earnings pretty much every time but still have a high p/e. Hoping for a continued climb. I DCA'd for a few months on this one. I'm in for the long haul but do like seeing more green vs. red.

I’m still way down but I’m heavy PLTR. I’m thinking $150 is my exit.

I just had the chance to listen to the Micron MU Conf call. Holy crap. Memory chips are no longer a cyclical business and I don't think Wall Street has caught on to that yet. Yeah MU is up huge- over 300% this year alone and something like 1,000% in the last recent history. It's still cheap at this price.

Yep, they are sold out through 2027 but more importantly they have contracts for $100B in production that pay them whether the customer takes the chips or not. Plus, those contracts required a deposit of $16B just to keep their place in line.

A big part of the Chipset needed for these Data centers and AI is memory chips from primarily 3 companies.

I have studied stocks for decades and never seen anything like this situation in my lifetime. Its insane. Then add MU is building a giant facility in Boise...and a couple more elsewhere that will have even more production that can be sold.

Its hard to wrap your arms around how good MU is doing but once the financial community recognizes this, those AI chip companies are going to keep going up.

Of course it will end eventually....probably about 4 years out but not in the next year or so like some are saying.
