The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

Thoughts on a roksliders stock? We all commit to a stock and throw in 1000 dollars, or whatever is agreed upon. It’ll be more fun if we’re all in it the same amount. Enough that it matters, not so much that it becomes cost prohibitive. Not something boring like an etf, but something with a little risk/reward.

When it goes up we can all pat eachother on the back and talk about what we’re going to do with our new found wealth. When it goes down we can all blame eachother for this stupid idea.

We start a new thread, people throw out stock ideas. We all vote, and buy in, hopefully at the same time/amount. We can either watch it in this thread or start a new thread.

Thoughts?
I'm in baby.

P.S. Plus, I need a another title. RSSC CFO has a nice ring to it. :ROFLMAO: 🤑💰

I'm a bit shocked how well the MU I bought after their earnings in Dec is doing-It seems like it's getting out over its skis- but I'm not complaining- grin I previously mentioned the buy in Dec in this thread [chart is from Today]

I'm a gambler on some cheap stocks with a very small portion of my total worth.
Have lots of stuff in the big blues with good dividends but i am wanting to take 50k and invest 2,500 in 20 different companies that are under a dollar a share. Might just be a bust but i cashed out a bunch of ASM today that had a huge return. Anyone here have a few symbols i should be looking at? Did well on KULR, UUUU, and OPTT here lost on some others i found here.

PWRMF, buy under $.60 which is where it's sitting currently. Cesium mine going into production this year backed by Albermarle. I plan to trim and reevaluate at $2-3. Possible to go much higher when they start drilling out the rest of the site. Production aimed at the end of 2026.

PSRHF, this is a helium exploration company looking to go into production 2027. They recently jumped and seem to have found a base around $1.20 after helium 3 was verified by third party government labs. I bought this in Sept as I see a big demand for helium in the future, plan to hold and accumulate. They're confirming the helium resource now and still some permitting to jump through but for gamblers I think this is a good one!

Sold 1 million in stocks, ETFs and mutual funds between this week and last week. I'll be purchasing a SPIA that will pay $5076/ month for the rest of my life and when I die my wife will get the same until her death. If we both die before 25 years the kids will get the payments for the remainder of 25 years.
My last day at work will be 2/9. We will still have nearly 2/3 of the retirement funds after this purchase. I am 54 (55 in July) and that seemed like the way to go even though Ive been against annuities for as long as I can remember.

Can you explain why this route makes more sense that just pulling from your accounts over time? *Its a serious question for my knowledge, not a challenge.* Oh, and congratulations on the retirement.

I assume stability? The payout is 1.5 million over 25 years. Say someone had 3 million in the market. Turn 1 million into a guaranteed return in case the other 2 performs poorly.

Let’s see if we can get enough momentum to make it fun.

Shoot….why mess around with risky stocks? Gold is going crazy right now and silver is going even crazier. If you’re looking for high risk with high reward…….

Anyone here have any knowledge of bluerock real estate. My grandma's financial lady had 100% of her retirement account in it since 2015 or so. And man has it fell back hard. I have done some looking and it doesn't look promising to me.

It covers all our expenses and in 7 years I'll get a small $1k pension and SSI of $2600. With all our expenses covered we will be able to stay invested more aggressively with the other portion of our funds. I lived through 08 so I know what it feels like to see your balance get cut in half. Most likely I would have made more money to just stay invested but I'll sleep better at night during the next black swan and there will be one. Also, retiring early means the money has to last a long time. The annuity pays until we die, the 25 years is the guarantee for our children should we both die early.
