The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

That sounds like a good opportunity to trade it.

On the opening of the ex-div day it should drop the amount of the div....if its doing that prior sounds like you can get in and out of it twice then to capture that amount or more if you also sell calls on your shares.

I might have to set alerts for it inbetween ex dates and see if I can scalp a dollar off it from what you are seeing - thanks!
You are more ambitious than me! Good luck. Let us know how it works out.

"Microsoft, $MSFT, has requested 6,327 H-1B visas, mostly from India, in Washington, per Amanda Goodall. That same month, it laid off 2,300 workers in the state."

If this is true I'll be closing out my position in MSFT and I won't be buying any products or services they sell.

It makes me wonder if AI is cutting out some of those spots.

Yes some, but they are also outsourcing and there was a change in how business can amortize R&D cost of software engineers.

High risk, high reward play: Seastar Medical $ICU

Reverse split last year and public offering this year, which has tanked the share price, but their device is incredible and life changing. Revenue is climbing and they have more in the pipeline. DYOR.

I’m holding at 0.88 average.

Do you have info on ICU we don't?

I read that paper HERE at PLOS one,

A Biomimetic Membrane Device That Modulates the Excessive Inflammatory Response to Sepsis

and their SCD-C worked good on pigs in the initial phase of sepsis [induced] but not at all in any with an existing sepsis.

FWIW, I am in no way a medical researcher but I did not come away dazzled.

Similar but different device. That article is 14 years old, before Seastar’s device.

Just curious if anyone has looked into or bought Bitmine Immersion (BMNR) over the past week or so?
I was digging around Monday & ran across it because it went from 4.26 to 33.90 (+ 695%) in one day. It seems mainly because they announced that Tom Lee (CNBC guy) is gonna be their chairman & they're going to copy the MSTR Michael Saylor strategy (but for Ethereum instead of BTC.)
I didn't buy it of course but watched it all week & since then It's went all the way up to $135 !!! Seriously, WTF?
As I told myself everyday for the last 5 days, I think that this is just a publicity stunt I will come crashing down any day now but damn was I wrong so far.
All I know from past dealings with ETH is that it's slow & the fees are stupid high & why most ppl think it's worthless for real world applications. I think part of what's driving it is the whole stable coin pump & ETH's relationship to stables?
Does anyone have any wisdom they'd like to add? It would be greatly appreciated.
I kick myself that I didn't throw some gambling $$ down on it last Monday & I HATE chasing hot stocks like this.
Anyway, here's a small video on it for reference.

I like Tom Lee but I decided to sit this one out. I have a small stack of ETH I've been holding for 6 years but I'm not bullish on its future. As soon as ETH hits its ATH I'm going to dump it. I think there's a good chance BMNR might continue to run for a few weeks and then take a giant dump on retail.
