Peanuts to the crypto guys but I sold my big play on oil in MLPX yesterday at $62.60. Pipelines but it moves with oil prices though partially separate. 3.5% in a month in my IRA, less than I expected.

I might have seen $64 but I'm risk adverse. Bad sector with over supply without expanded war or disrupted supply chain.

I'm completely out of oil ....so right about now it will jump 10%

I think the Model 2 being around 25k, if it’s actually true, opens up the market to a lot of people. Kind of reminds me of when Kia’s and Hyundais were trying to break into the US and they were sold at a price point just too low to ignore.

I think the Robotaxi is going to eventually push Uber and Lyft and take a lot of their market share.

Lastly, I think Elon working with Trump…..sure didn’t end very well. But overall I think it will be a plus for him and Tesla. He’s a weird dude and I don’t think could really handle the spot light for that long before he just self sabotaged. The further people get away from it, the better the will see DOGE as a positive.

Don’t forget energy storage megapacks and bots. I don’t think the market has figured out how to price that in yet.

Q2 production and delivery are up from Q1 for vehicles.

I have been really appreciative of the energy insights on this thread for the last 5 years.

Yeah, me too, I made some $$ on a couple of the small oil companies.

Goldman predicts $60 oil by the end of this year and $50 oil next year. The oversupply is real and until something happens to change that, the oil companies will have a tougher time. Select players might do well but I why try to fight the trend....so I'm out.

For right now, I'm building cash looking for a good entry point on a few stocks and sectors.

High risk, high reward play: Seastar Medical $ICU

Reverse split last year and public offering this year, which has tanked the share price, but their device is incredible and life changing. Revenue is climbing and they have more in the pipeline. DYOR.

I’m holding at 0.88 average.

Consider selling call options on your shares to re-capture some of the amount it will drop ex-dividend.

"Microsoft, $MSFT, has requested 6,327 H-1B visas, mostly from India, in Washington, per Amanda Goodall.That same month, it laid off 2,300 workers in the state."

If this is true I'll be closing out my position in MSFT and I won't be buying any products or services they sell.

MSTY dropped $1.20 yesterday when they announced the dividend. Today it's up 5.79%. MSTR is up 7.76% today.

Ex Div is tomorrow so it will drop by that amount pre-market.
Edit: just looked and it shows the ex-div amount now, I looked last just before 8pm EST and it was still up around 22. Maybe they just adjusted it for the div this evening.

But Bitcoin and hence MSTR seem to be on the upswing so MSTY should follow. If you own any consider maybe selling calls or just wait for it to go back up the $1.20 or whatever the divy is this time.

You would have needed to own MSTY today before 8pm EST to collect the dividend I think.

If it helps and you want to try for the MSTY divy next time then look at Bitcoin first to determine if it will follow the uptrend there and buy the day before the ex-dividend date and sell a weekly call option a little out of the money that expires that week to juice your returns.

Then either just wait till it goes up with Bitcoin/MSTR or continue to sell calls on it until the next divy if you are comfortable with holding. It tends to go down though so I prefer to trade in and out of it and not get stuck bag holding MSTY inbetween dividends.

I've only been watching it since Jan and it drops almost exactly the same amount as the div the day after the div is announced.

That sounds like a good opportunity to trade it.

On the opening of the ex-div day it should drop the amount of the div....if its doing that prior sounds like you can get in and out of it twice then to capture that amount or more if you also sell calls on your shares.

I might have to set alerts for it inbetween ex dates and see if I can scalp a dollar off it from what you are seeing - thanks!
