had been considering buying a few of the quantum computing stocks & sure glad I didn't. They're all down 40+% this morning. Yikes!
And there lies the problem with rolling the dice on these high flyers.....CEO of Envidia says quantum computing 15 years away from being viable- Stocks tanked.

Sadly, they always go down faster than they go up.

Here's an idea that has worked for me: Whichever stock(s) is on your shortlist, put in a buy order at 10-20% below where it closed the previous day (assuming market is closed when you place your order).

It's not unusual for quality stocks to have have big intraday swings and this is a way to grab them when they get caught up in the stock market crazies that still has some run time IMHO.

Good luck all,

Eddie

Maybe I should put this in the Bitcoin thread. I have money in a simple IRA thru Edward Jones. I can transfer it to a traditional IRA. I don't need this money for retirement. I have other plans for retirement. Would it be possible to put it all in Bitcoin or something that follows Bitcoin. Because if I could make Bitcoin type returns off the amount in my IRA it would be a fairly large amount of money in 20yrs.

I will say. I do not understand Bitcoin at all. Seems like a Bitcoin is "nothing". But the numbers don't lie. It's been a CRAZY good money maker for people that buy and hold.

You should be able to purchase IBIT which is 1:1 for bitcoin. I started investing in it about 10 months ago in my 401k.
