Anyone continue to have a rifle that won't shoot for anything?

I've gone through the normal things to get it shooting well: Free float the barrel, bed it, handload and fuss with bullets, casings etc.
I've heard of rifles with chambers that don't line up square to the breech and other shenanigans that are similar-but I don't have a lot of experience to be able to measure such things.

Well I have two such guns right now both used one Rem 721 in 270. Tried multiple ammos and some reloads and deep cleaning of barrel. No joy I got a borescope and checked out the bore and it seems the bore is shot but it will be going to a Gun Smith to see what his take is on it. Next is a 223 WSSM Winchester model 70 tried multiple hand loads and some factory load nothing to impressive and the throat looks a little wore it 's another that will go to the Smith for his take. Both guns would not shoot better than 2.5-3 MOA at 100 yards. So I feel your pain. So I stopped messing with either one till the Smith looks at them.
