The REAPER from Unknown Suppressors

Tried my reaper out today on 300 blk 16” and my old Tikka M595 7mm-08 I had cut to 16”. Didn’t shoot much but POI shift was minimal if any on either rifle. Didn’t notice a big difference in recoil with 7mm-08 but didn’t shoot enough to really say. 300 blk with subs is crazy quiet.

Was a little nervous when I took first shot with my newly cut down Tikka. I had taken the scope off before having it cut so I expected it to be off some. First shot unsuppressed was low left. Put the Reaper on and aimed same spot…this is where I got a little nervous as I am not seeing another bullet hole. Upon closer inspection I had cut my first bullet hole with my second shot. Good to go after that!

Got my reaper on Saturday and made it to the range today. It’s on my 22” 300 Prc which usually has a silencerco Omega on it. POI was 4” which was way more than I’m used to. And my groups went from less than1” to over 2”. WTF. Unfortunately I didn’t bring the Omega with me to double check thats the issue but that’s the only thing that has changed.

I’ll post an update after another range session with the omega to see if it goes back to normal groups.

Ok boys and girls, I’m very happy to report it wasn’t the reaper can. The scope rail on the Defiance action had come loose. Got that torqued back down with some locktight and back in business. Shoots great, sounds great!

I wasn’t going to reply to this because I’m obviously biased but I knew it was very unlikely the Reaper. I screw my reaper onto a lot of rifles for demos and they all shoot awesome with very minimal to no POI shift. I’m glad you figured it out and enjoy your can, sir. I’m sure you’re relieved as well… lol

Oh yea relieved is an understatement! I leave in just a few weeks for a brown bear hunt in Alaska. I did not need to have an issue with my rifle now! The way it was reacting today at the range I knew something was loose. Checked the rings….all good…..so I pulled the scope and sure enough….two of the three screws in the rail were all but falling out. Back to driving tacks and my confidence is back 100%.

Can you do me a favor if you use the reaper, pm me some pics with it if you get a bear. Don’t get to say a Reaper helped take a big bear very often.

Good luck man! Can’t wait to see how it goes.
