The REAPER from Unknown Suppressors

@Bluefish I think that’s all forward, which will directly compete against TBAC RR series but still missing 338cal. There’s definitely a demand for RR since TBAC has like a 2 year backlog and can’t keep them in stock anywhere.

Im sure they will come out with something….i would like to try the Reaper and NHS.

I ordered one of these. Print date window is 8/30-9/6. I plan to compare it directly to a raptor 8 - I assume all the comparison to the raptor by US has been without a reflex. I’ll compare it with and without reflex to the reaper on my 6.5 PRC.
I'd like to see videos if you can share those as well.

We have every can printed for every order. Muzzle adapters should be coming back from DLC any day now. As soon as we have the muzzle adapters and an approved form 3 we will ship!

That's interesting.

I know a lot of suppressor manufacturers outsource the manufacturing of their suppressors, especially a lot of the additive manufactured models.

Most likely due to the fact that the Unknown Suppressors printer cost as much as all of the CNC machines SRS has, combined. Plus you would need a CNC mill and preferably a Y axis lathe with live tooling to make the accessories and finish the cans.

What if there was a reflex for the reaper?

A Reaper with a 3” reflex seems like an excellent idea to me. I already bought the AB Raptor 8 (6.3+3”), but the announcement of a Reaper + 3” would have resulted in a different decision on my part.

One thing which I think may very well improve once the $200 tax stamp is removed is the market for secondhand suppressors. There will still be some discount (as with secondhand optics), but it opens up a real possibility. The ability to recoup some reasonable money from suppressors I don’t want to new ones I do is going to be very nice.

A reflex with a hub mount would be an interesting product. Based on AB, that may not be an option due to atf considering the reflex part of a can.

Got my reaper ordered up. Really excited to try it out. Had a scythe ti blow up in 350 rounds and wasn't a baffle strike. Bullet hit the bullseye at 900 when it blew up and sent the front half of the can about 75 yds down range. All cold bore shots with mild loads of 300 wsm and 25 prc in 22" barrels. Got a replacement in 2 weeks. Have maybe 100 through it so far. The replacement just had some piece of the suppressor fall off on the inside. Heard a rattle after I took it off the last rifle I shot with it. Shook it a bit and a little wire strand came out. Guessing its about ready to blow up again. Haven't used any 300 rums or normas in it either. All 300 prc or smaller so far. All cold bore shots. Barrel and suppressor is cooled in between each shot. Really looking forward to trying the reaper out. Grabbed a directional suppressor brake from salmon river solutions for it along with the hub to cb adaptor and a titanium cb brake from them. Gonna throw it on my 22" 300 norma improved. Mild load of n570 with a 245 at 2750 fps. 3.5-4 gr under the slightest sign of pressure with brass fired 20 times. No clickers and primer pockets feel almost brand new. The 245 at 2750 still has enough energy for elk out to a little over 1400 yds which is further than Ill shoot game with it anyways.

Dude... 20 firings!?

I only have 2 firings on my Lapua brass with your reamer.

I think you will like the Reaper! Cliff is also working on some other cool stuff for the reaper as well.

Yep. I have some brass with over 30 firings and the pockets still feel almost brand new. I don't push it though. The node Im at is very wide. Was like .9 gr wide for a single digit spread in powder when doing a ladder test. The lapua 300 norma brass is the toughest Ive seen. A guy just has to check the neck thickness when he gets new brass. Original lots were .337 loaded neck diameters, roughly. Alot of the new stuff is .3395 loaded and will give almost no neck clearance on factory spec chambers. Running the thick necks with minimal clearance will jack your pressures up and kill the accuracy. I run all the brass for customers into my AUTODOD neck turning machine so I don't have to worry about different lot dimensions etc. Not sure if your using my reamer though. I didn't release it to the public. Im the only one with the reamer and had bullet central make a bunch of dies for my reamer spec. You might be using wheelers version. I know he released it to the public a while back. One thing to remember especially with the norma improved having such tough brass is it will hide pressure. Especially in a bat action, if the brass doesn't have a bunch of firings on it, and the barrel hasnt sped up yet.

Looking forward to see the new stuff for the reaper and getting mine in.
