Why would you want a sandwiched lug, that is the worst abortion ever, it brings in way too many variables. The Tikka design is about the best factory design ever for a lug.

How would an attached lug in the same spot bring in more variables than the action and lug being one piece? That’s doesn’t make sense.

The whole point of this is to be better than a factory action I’d assume.

I wish they all were as well.

There's been several defective aftermarket lugs out there from Mountain Tactical, and even UM if memory serves. Even Gen 1 T3 Tikka factory lugs were too soft. It does seem to be one of the primary variables out there for the rare Tikka that doesn't shoot as well as it should...

The only reason to not have an integrated recoil lug is probably to save $ on manufacturing.

Or to be compatible with Tikka furniture. As long as it’s a decent lug and not aluminum or some such, the tikka lug system works great. It’s a non issue.

What tikka furniture would it not be compatible with?

Anything that the lug is machined in or bonded. Also seems like an integral lug that uses the whole space of a standard lug would be a big waste of material since you’d have to start with a much bigger piece of steel. It’s a lot an effort to fix something that isn’t an issue.
