I'm interested in a bolt if you can swap between standard and magnum bolt face

They mentioned multiple bolt face options, and eventually selling naked bolts -- but no interchangeable face.

swear it was mentioned on one of the earlier podcasts but I went back and listened to the hunt expo one and I think you're right. they are just talking about swapping bolts between magnums and standard not swappable bolt faces.

I think early on that was a goal, but as I recall it ended up not being feasible/practical without compromising reliability or something?

Correct, they’re one piece bolts, but you can swap bolt bodies and use the same internal components, to get a different bolt face.

I scrolled through it, and I can’t seem to find it, but I’m sure somebody’s brought it up, what’s the details on the recoil lug? Is it the same style as the tikka or will it be integrated? And if it’s not integrated, why not I’ve always wondered that.

At $1200 integrated recoil lugs seem to be the standard.

Pretty sure most integrated recoil lugs are at the end of the action which is easily programmed in the CNC. Where the Tikka recoil lug is located it's much easier to just cut the channel versus integration.

I think it’s been said before, but I’m pretty sure they want it to drop into anything that fits a stock tikka. I have a tikka HNT26 that has the recoil lug built in, so personally I’m glad that it won’t be integrated in the raven.

I don’t se why any of the options wouldn’t work if the lug was attached where it’s slotted on the tikka action.

There are sticks and chassis where the lug is machined into the chassis, or glued into the stock from the factory.

Regardless- it’s a nothing burger. The factory lug setup works without issue with any cartridge that fits in a Tikka, and keeping it same/same as a tikka makes all the built architecture work for it.

That makes sense. After trying several custom actions I only run Tikka actions now the only thing that I’ve seen as the downfall is the lug design, so I was really hoping to see an integrated one on this. But as you said, it’s really not a big deal.

I’ve used a lot of different aftermarket stocks and I haven’t seen preinstalled lugs so that would be nice since I do epoxy all of mine in.
