I’m not sure yet. For a hunting rifle, I’m having a hard time spending more than a stock Tikka, and I don’t really need another hunting rifle atm. I’m also looking at an NRL Hunter build, but for that use I’m having a hard time not just going with a Zermatt Origin to save a couple hundred bucks and have more stock options. I’m interested in this action, I just don’t know what for yet. What are you guys thinking of using this action for, hunting primarily? Any considering an NRL type build?
Same boat, was thinking nrl setup only since I don’t have one and want to get into it next year.I’m not sure yet. Left hand will be released at the same time as Right handSame boat, was thinking nrl setup only since I don’t have one and want to get into it next year.
This is assuming they make a lefty, otherwise back to tikka.
Ruger has had a 22 Creed in their American line for a while now. Along with 22 and 6ARCs.Me too. A 22/6 arc tikka with mags that feed smoothly will be a MASSIVE seller.
As will a "factory" chambered 22 creed. It beggars relief that the mainstream companies haven't really adopted 22 creed. Not even ruger in their americans as far as I'm aware.
I've seen the arcs here, but not the 22 creed as yet. Waiting times for new releases over here sucks!!!Ruger has had a 22 Creed in their American line for a while now. Along with 22 and 6ARCs.

After spending a bit of time wit the latest Ruger American in 22 ARC I can honestly say I doubt I will ever buy another Ruger, even though I was a M77 man for most of my life.Ruger has had a 22 Creed in their American line for a while now. Along with 22 and 6ARCs.

Won't shoot, fit and finish or that gawd awful bladed trigger? There is a lot not to like on those last two points but I've not seen one that just won't shoot something pretty decent. Kinda reminds me of a Salvage. After spending a bit of time wit the latest Ruger American in 22 ARC I can honestly say I doubt I will ever buy another Ruger, even though I was a M77 man for most of my life.
I think 24oz is what’s been tossed out on the podcastanyone been able to figure out the estimated/projected weight on the Raven (the lite one without the dust cover)?
That sounds about right. It should be 4-5 ounces lighter than the factory.I think 24oz is what’s been tossed out on the podcast

Yea, I said that the Lite should be 4-5oz lighter than the factory Tikka if it follows the same trend as UM’s lightening service. The Raven in steel weighs almost exactly what the factory Tikka weighs. The only way you are getting 3pm lighter is by getting the top bridge cut away and all the silly Swiss cheesing.

That’s the first I’ve heard of Ti being used for the Lite. I think that would be unfortunate really, unless Nitride really does make it slick enough to not bind.I’m pretty sure the plan is that the “light” version will be Ti. I don’t known that there will be a “lite” production version in steel that is cut away
Ti can be nitrided, further more it can be nitrided by the common salt bath method as well. DLC is a coating, nitriding is not. It is a case hardening procedure.but I thought nitriding is only an option for steel
Oh my. That would be freaking amazing.I’m pretty sure the plan is that the “light” version will be Ti. I don’t known that there will be a “lite” production version in steel that is cut away

FWIW, I really like my UM lightened Tikka with the lightening cutouts and opened up top bridge, but no fluted bolt. Saves a few ounces, aesthetics are nice and functions great.
