The Madison

Great another show thinking moving out west is going to solve all their problems

Pretty sure these shows are a conspiracy to sell cowboy hats and the flat brim hipster hats to men and women that have never seen a dirt road.

My wife and I are enjoying the show. I know where they shot the episode one scenes that were supposed to be in the backcountry. They missed editing out a power pole which is clearly evident.

I’m done with all things Taylor Sheridan. Still mad over 1923 Season 2.

I’n sure my absence has him worried. Y’reckon he’ll make it without me?

I spend a couple months in Montana fly fishing and while the fishing is excellent, and I say that only if you are an accomplished fly fisherman. The trout in the Madison, Missouri and Gallatin which are the main rivers I fish are not stocked trout and have seen every dry fly and nymph imaginable. That being said the rivers can be very crowded while if you are willing to walk a mile or have a drift boat you can usually get away from the crowd. Should be interesting this summer to see if this series (The Madison) brings a new influx of anglers.

Flys are less important than tippet.

6.5-8x solves most presentation problems, but not the cheaper rods are out because aren’t going to protect that small line size.
