The Madison

I'm pretty sure if you watch the intro to Marshall's, it says "based on characters created by Taylor Sheridan", but then it's written, directed, produced, etc., by someone else. I don't think TS has anything to do with that show.
makes sense... its awful

I honestly find it all to be just too much drama altogether anymore. Which i need absolutely no more of in my life. I should be in the basement reloading vs watching TV, but I still end up watching most of his stuff, or at least listening while doing other things as my wife is watching it as she likes to at least have me around for a little while most nights.
I do have to say, the things he writes and directs are certainly better than most anything else available presently. Granted, in many instances that's like saying horseshit smells better than cow shit...but you typically get good scenery and at least some thought put into the plot of most his stuff and he certainly doesnt seem to cater to much to leftist ideology coming through in so much other television/movies these days.
Its TV to entertain the masses and give them escape from the suck that is most of their daily 9-5...what do you really expect??
I'll agree Marshal's is just bad all together, Id like to hear off record what sheridan really thinks about that atrocious waste of characters he created. Im sure its an easy payday for him though, cant really blame the guy there. If someone wanted to pay well to pickup and carry a torch he no longer thought worth keeping lit on his own, why not? It is cringe worthy script writing though.
I feel for you MT folks . That was one of my first thoughts about the Madison too..."damn, another TS show
set in and glorifying the scenery and lifestyles of MT...the natives will be restless about this for sure".
Guess time will tell if it has any real effect, hopefully not.
I dont mind The Madison thus far. Its much less torture than other options I might have to endure to get some couch time with my wife and dog after a long day.

I'm 2 episodes in wondering how they're going to stretch it out for 6. Its a good cast and premise but probably would of been tighter as an hour and 45 minute movie
