Friend.
One of the things I like most about outdoorsman is there willingness to help others. Whether it be other outdoorsman, or 'regular' folks. Case in point, I've seen hikers pulled over on the way to a trailhead having car trouble with two pickups behind them, and a gang of camo working on their car. If those hikers were against hunting, I GUARANTEE they had to rethink their stance that day. I have a friend who's dad passed early, and a group of men took him under their wing; taught him everything he knows about the outdoors. He's an absolute predator now.

Point being, the internet allows people to have access to other people. Everyone in this thread has, at one point or another, asked for advice, or asked to shoot the new flagship bow their buddy bought. The internet, and specifically Rokslide is a western-hunting university, and for myself, class is in-session.

The Internet forums can give you instant opinions with access to both experts and total wannabes.

The trick is figuring out who is who^.

Nyself: Im really a 17 yr old HS dropout that has never been out if my grandmas cellar, but on the internet i can give advice AND BE SOMEONE!

Confirmed. But in your grandmother's defense, someone needs to clean the littler box frequently with 8 cats.

More to the point, the internet is not good or bad. Some of the stupid people who post on it....

[And before anyone goes off the deep end, Beendare is a buddy, just giving him a hard time with the first comment]

Fully vested in the pretend and imagination game afforded to one in the cyber world.

1/4 minute to a mile, pass up booners, run up 14'ers.. you know, what real hunters do.

Foe, the game and fish departments are gonna need to figure out ways to produce more game and fish very soon. The internet combined with technological advances has helped everyone get a slightly bigger piece of the pie. I can distinctly see that the pie we are sharing is shrinking all across this country. Sure , a few bright spots exist, but most hunting and fishing on public lands is slowly slipping the wrong direction in my observations the last 20 years.
