The Gear I’ll Never Use Again

My Crispis started doing that as well and I lined the entire top of the rand with a bead of Flex Seal. I have to reapply every year or so but have had good luck keeping the rands from peeling that way.

Mine started doing this after a few months of use. Has anyone tried contacting Crispi? If so, what was their solution? Warranty? Other?

All the camelback people need to check out Drifter Hydration. Super sweet bladder alternative. That and Hardside hydration give you the best of both worlds.

The Drifter system allows you to pressurize the badder.
Wouldn't the rigid design of the Drifter be splashing around all day? That would drive me crazy!
The hardside is an interesting idea, since I already usually carry a water bottle or two

I warrantied mine in the first 3 months for the same issue and got new rands installed. The repair started peeling after another 10-15 days of use so then I switched to the flex seal rather than rewarrantying.

I've really just been using it for turkey season here but i have not noticed that to be an issue. Its a pretty slim profile. The hardside system is lighter. and i have the smart water bottle adapter.

That drifter system looks nice. Hadn't seen that before. I had went and bought a Swig Rig a couple months ago that I'm going to try this year. Will try this out if that doesn't work. Thanks.

Are you flex sealing the whole rand or just the top? I love the fit of Crispi boots too much to give up on them.

Well, old thread, I'm going to add:

Sitka pants, if you are a serious hunter, just don't. These pants can't take briars, can't take sticks rubbing on them, just say, "No." They will have picks all in them.

Furloh: The AllClima pants won't have picks like the Sitka, these pants will have small gaps that allow the stuffing to come out. If you are a hunter, just stay away from them. These may be made in America, but having any kind of warranty support, you can forget it.

I will not buy any more gear from Forloh at all.

I think that sort of thing depends a lot on where you hunt. No idea about newer Sitka stuff, but I’ve got some older Mountain and Timberline pants that have held up great, and have been beat on pretty hard. Even the Devils Club here in AK doesn’t seem to be tearing them up.

Sitka offers a lot of different models intended for different uses, climates, etc. Which pants specifically are you referring to?

Just the top. Ignore the cow shit and dirt.

Yeah, I thought Smiths are just overhyped with good marketing.
But since finding a pair on special and giving them a go, they've quickly become my favourites.
I love the clarity and lack of glare, very easy on the eyes.
