I don't have a real vast line to compare to, but have used benchmade, esee, outdoor edge, dad's 50 year old buck.

Not too hard to do, but like anything, if you want to do it really well it takes both tools and a little practice.

Silky saws....the Bahco laplander replaced them and performed better.
Wrangler ATG pants everyone raves about. I've destroyed them so fast and stitching was terrible.
Alpaca socks....a marketing scam. Don't last.
Sawyer mini is a piece of crap.
Yeti products are a scam.

Yeah, the ATG pants are don't last and cant take any type of use. I wore them out hiking on pretty flat roads and general walking.
