The Gear I’ll Never Use Again

Same here. I tried on one of their pairs of "wides", walked around the store and was near crippled. Complete trash for me.

“Near Crippled”? 🤣If they don’t fit, they don’t fit. I have one pair insulated that have been great for 6 years, still dry feet in wet weather. And another NI only used two years in the dry desert. I take care of my gear and they are treated a couple times a year. I don’t have any complaints. But they fit my feet.
Maybe start a thread, I Want This But It Just Doesn’t Fit.

Out of curiosity, why no chassis or carbon barrels on your hunting rifles? I’ve never had either but I’ve certainly looked
I’ve found that the carbon barrels add no real benefit for a hunting rifle and only take money from my wallet.

Chassis are more about the field shooting aspect. Again - not needed or ideal for hunting.

I hate camelbacks. They always leak.
I've been using the same mil-spec 3L Camelbak since 2005. I've replaced the o-rings once (probably time to do it again), and it still works great.

Things I'll never use again......Danner Pronghorn boots, VT Pro V arrow rest, thin wall arrows, white gas lanterns and stoves, Sig RF's, new fangled gas can spouts.......that's all I can think of at the moment.

Polypro under --- gone to merino --- love this new mesh stuff mentioned on Rok.
cotton is just for lounging and daily, not hunting
cheap binocs or scopes, old eyes and cheap glass doesn't mix
thick wool socks --- have gone to thinner merino socks and a good wool insole liner --- much better, feet sweating is a killer
mechanical broadheads ---- I've gone to heavy arrows and heavy single blade heads (cutthroats)
mossy oak --- love the color, the clothing is cheap and too much UV (I've got some of the first from the early 90's that still fit (somewhat), much better quality. This stuff now is awful ---- think of old Cabela's to this new Cabela's crap.
While I'm on it, Cabela's clothing --- I will buy older cabela's stuff off eflay.
I will not buy more turkey hunting products --- I will not buy more callers --- I will not buy more turkey hunting products --- I will not buy more callers ---- uggggghhhhhhhhhh who am i kidding, I'm addicted.

Oh yeah, Outdoor Edge knives - was missing my havalon before my elk hunt so grabbed the OE disposable blade version that came with four blades on my way to the woods. Couldn’t even finish quartering my bull before the 4 blades dulled. Stupid push button blade release kept jamming too. I can quarter a whole elk with one or two havalon blades…

Aquaseal SR is your friend.

Only around the leather /rubber junction?
Just finished a long weekend hunt packing out 2 elk. Wearing the Vivos, best my feet have ever felt (have only been wearing barefoot shoes for a year) minus being wet the last day.

Wool unless it’s socks, beanie, gloves or neck gaiter.
Hand warmer packets, they need to be exposed to air to work, but it’s usually my feet that need them and they don’t work inside of a boot.
Lighted knocks. I’m nowhere near a professional archer, but I’ve done enough basic comparison to notice a terrible inconsistency in their production that would throw off my arrow flight.
Overkill boots for the situation. I will spend the extra money to own several pairs to match the terrain and weather I’m in. Even if they’re comfortable and you’re used to them, it ain’t fun to wear sheep boots for a weekend mule deer hunt.
