I dunno how many of you guys have shot an Elite yet but I am a believer. After getting one for the wounded vet and experiencing the difference first hand, I found one for myself on craigslist with a QAD HDX rest and sight. I played hooky from work this morning and had the peep adjusted and took it out to the range. The 50 & 60 yard pins are half the size of the 20, 30 and 40 yard pins which was AMAZINGLY helpful. Now understand I am on pain med, muscle relaxors, anti-inflammatory meds to treat an injured knee, sciatica and should injury. Despite all these setbacks and feeling really rocky (cuz i haven't shot my Hoyt in 3 weeks) I was able to hold a heart shot pattern out to 60 yards in the wind with the Elite. I can hold that sucker at full draw all day. No need to release because I'm starting to tremble (like with my Carbon Element) and I just love this bow. It's the Energy 32 (same bow I bought new for the soldier) and am hanging up my CE for good. The draw cycle is so much easier...if you haven't shot an Elite....dont! Cuz if you do you'll be forced to buy one. LOL

A good choice for sure. They shoot nice and the valley is crazy. I have been trying to get a buddy to send his to ontarget7 just to see if it can get better.

This is what I was looking for. I am looking at an elite pretty seriously. I just sold my Mathews Heli m and have heard nothing but good things about the elite. I went to the dealer today and he was super nice. Tempted me by throwing a deal at me but I need to shoot the darn thing first. I was told the weight feels totally different than other bows. Is that true?

My Elite Answer from a couple years back is the bomb diggity. Soon as I drew that baby back in the proshop I had my mind made up. Over the years I have had some occasional flare ups from a nasty spell of trigger panic as a teenager, but the draw cycle on that bow just really relaxes me when I am shooting and no issues at all since I got it.

I just packed it away in it's case for it's first airplane flight tomorrow morning, off to Idaho finally. I am all puckered up hoping it makes it intact. About as attached as I can be to a material possession.

My E35 is the same. My shoulder is permanently sore. The easy draw and solid back wall is a blessing. I can't handle a jumpy cam anymore.

Congrats on the new rig!!!

I had the same experience. I made the mistake of drawing my '12 Answer when I wasn't even in the market to buy a new bow. I certainly was after drawing that bow. Just something silky smooth about it, like nothing else I had used.

As far as the weight goes, my buddy had an 80 pounder in Nevada this year and my bow was at 72. I honestly thought his bow felt easier to pull. It was an experience to see how it pulled so easily.

I happened to be in the neighborhood of an Elite dealer (by accident, haha) so I stopped in, anxious to see what the fuss was about. Talked to the guys and shot a Synergy. All I can say is Wow!. It is so different than anything I've shot before. The backwall is so comfortable and right there. No creep of the string, in fact it feels like you can set it down at full draw it was so locked in. Make no mistake though, take aim, pull the trigger an them arrows is gone!

There is a YouTube video of a guy hanging his e35 on a scale and drawing it and then letting go, the weight of the bow (6.2lbs iirc) is enough to keep it at full draw. Crazy, I was nervous just watching the video waiting for it to dry fire!

It's a crazy video. But as long as he holds onto the string it won't be a dry fire bow weighs a lot more then most arrows do.

The E35 is a really nice bow.

Do yourself a favor and try a Bowtech Prodigy or Boss. In the smooth setting on the cam mods, it draws like an Elite and has that deep valley. BUT you actually have yokes on each end that you can tune. A much better system IMO.

Has anyone had any warranty issues with the bows? I was reading over on an unnamed site about how Eilite is terrible for getting warranty work done. I wasn't reading to much into it as for every positive there are always ten negatives on the site.

I have never seen elite not stand by their warranty.. THe only problem i have seen with elite is that the got to big to fast.. once levi signed on and they built the Energy series bows they took off. SO much so that they couldnt keep up for the longest time. I think that is slowly being fixed tho..

The only complaint I have about my 13 Answer is the grip will dang near freeze my hand off when it's cold out. Otherwise it's an awesome bow. I'm using my Full Throttle this year but I think that's only because it's new and shiny but I know I should be using the Answer since I can hold it at full draw all day. I cannot do that with the FT.

I had 2 issues with my Answer and Elite handled them perfectly. I had the serving separate after a couple hundred shots (which the '12's were notorious for) and they sent me a new set after I sent them a picture to confirm what was happening. I also had an issue with a limb and they sent a new set to my dealer very quickly. Haven't had an issue since.
