The best all around 243 bullet

Killed a truckload with the old 100gr core lock... but green & yellow ain't the same.

Today I'm shooting a 85gr hpbt sierra to great effect in my beretta brx1. Took deer, bobcat, coyote, and a mouse with it this year.

Just wondering WTH is up with this company. I reached out to them recently to ask about the availability of 130 gr .264 TMK bullets. Their answer was basically, “Oh well, we might get to making a batch of them sometime later this year.” I find that puzzling, because it’s one of their most in-demand bullets in one of the most popular calibers. Are they just shipping enough ammo and components to the military and the Ukraine that they don’t have to care about regular commercial sales anymore? I can’t think of another reason short of lack of business acumen for this kind of thinking. All of...

8 pages and the 95gr BT seems to carry the load for a 10 twist. My boss grabbed a 10 twist .243win recently to cull the elk on his ranch. I had him buy federal 95gr Berger classic to see how the rifle likes it. I'm surprised it wasn't brought up in this thread.

It's also carries the load for the 8 twist (see post #136). The 95gr BT seems to be "the one" for the .243 regardless of twist.

...inside of a certain distance. The .379bc is pretty anemic but the result of what standard twist/neck/throat factory .243win productions dictate. The above .500bc stuff wins with the faster twist rate stuff. For his use of shooting fence wreckers inside 200yds, I'd imagine bullet roulette could be played without any difference in results.

I must admit, this is 1 of my finer shooting exploits, and i have evidence. I doubt many mice have been shot at much farther and been recorded.

I don’t want to derail This thread but can someone explain why there is such a holdup with the availability of Sierra projectiles at the moment.
If you guys think it’s hard to source them in the USA you should try getting them here in Australia.

Is the Max Point bullet from Browning the same as 95 grain NBT?

Edit: Clarified my question. I'm just curious about the bullet. Looking a pictures, it looks like the Max Point is a much larger polymer tip, so I'm thinking it is not a reloading of the NBT like Win Silver.

I believe the 95gr nosler ballistic tip in 243win is a pretty well accepted deer killed on this forum. As for the browning loading . That’s up to the rifle. And tikka will be the rifle that’s accepted here as well.
