The Argali Clothing Project

@Brad@Argali

Sorry if its been mentioned and I missed it, but what is the material on the inside of the regular "hand" pockets on the pants? Some of my older Sitka pants have solid fleece and its terrible (hot, wicks sweat directly from my thigh to my phone screen or whatever is in the pocket), Kuiu Attacks use a fleece "mesh", which is better since it breathes a little, but still gets a little damp at times, and Sitka Intercepts use what I'd call a regular mesh, and it just says so much cooler and dry.
Good question because I have those same Sitka Pants and know what you're talking about. Our Vesper pants whicih are designed for warmer weather hunts have a lighweight, airy style mesh. And our Torex Pants, which is the more mid-season pant have a mesh pocket material as well. Not the same as our Vesper but still plenty breathable.

@Brad@Argali what are the reasons for not designing ability to put in knee pads on the pants? I know we are both archery hunters and I find in a lot of stalking situations ending up on my knees for extended periods of time. I have used more pants without pads, but when I used the sitka intercept pant with knee pads it was nice kneeling, it was noticeably more comfortable.

I’m a 30x36 in jeans

Damn, I thought I was a real outlier at 30x34.

Last time I finally found some jeans that fit well I dropped something like a grand on 20 pairs and keep them in a tote in my basement and rotate in a few new ones every year. Must be way harder for you.

Also a big fan of ability to add knee pads, and pants that come with suspenders (fine if they are removable).

Glad you asked this one. That’s something we will do in the future. For me personally I have a love hate relationship with knee pads. Hate them 90% of the time while I’m hiking around until the 1% of the time when I actually want them. But yes I agree they can be handy and we will make that an option in the future.

Great! I'm a 36ish waist with a 35" inseam.
Our 36”waist might fit you just fine. For that size your inseam is 33” but total pant length is 44.5”. We have a longer rise than most brands, so when you’re looking at the sizing keep that in mind and measure from your waist down 44.5” to see where the pants will hit your leg and if they will fit you.

I’d also vouch for ability to add removable suspenders (like Sitka Timberlines). I have wide hips so my pants (Kuiu Katanas) will fall without suspenders. Its been an issue when carrying my K4 pack as my waist belt will rub me badly without the pant material as a buffer.
