Hard to quantify but not bad at all really, much less than a 7prc or 280ai, maybe a little more than my 25 creed but not much. I am using a suppressor, I'd imagine with a good break it would be even less.

Yeah I get it, I'm not sure what recoil would be like without any muzzle device...maybe a spicy 6.5 creed load shooting the 147's?

I'd imagine it might be even less with those monos you would shoot. This thing would be a absolute laser beam with those 117's and a 24-26 inch barrel....I'd say north of 3300 if I'm getting 3150 with a 20. How long are the cayugas?

It would be really cool to have more than just my data.

From what I've seen so far it's exactly what I wanted. If the barrel speeds up 50fps and I'm sitting at 3200 I'd say mission accomplished.

But realistically this is all doable with the 25-7 prc, just not in a short action.

Or like @hereinaz said similar to the 25sst, although maybe a bit faster? But then your into the Sherman dies and brass.

H4831 works good in my sherman max. 3200 fps 26 in barrel with a 151 Cayuga.
I would think n565 or n570 retumbo would all be good.

Just try the H1000. It’s great.

I would try n570. If the case is full any you don’t hit pressure try n565

VV gets good velocity in the 7 SS, haven’t tried it in the 25.

I would start with n565 first, cause H1000 did better than RL26 in my 25.

But, I am curious to see what works here. If you go to Sherman’s site, they have load data on the 25sst to get an idea.

Yeah, the cost of brass and dies is higher, but I just add that to the cost of rifle over the lifetime.

If it becomes a thing, I would give the 25 marksman a try.

Case dimensions are pretty close to 6.5 PRC, I bet N565 would be an optimal contender.

I think that you are gonna find it’s super easy to load for and you will scratch you head about which is “best”.

The only VV I have on hand is N555. I will likely get some of the others mentioned later on.

The only other powders that would be worth looking at that I have currently are 4831sc and retumbo
