What velocity are they going? I’ve been shooting 80.5 bergers. They hammer them. But might try some 77 TMK just for fun

That gun is a 22 arc gas gun. 2900 at muzzle.

Run some numbers on 22 cm vs 223 for predator hunting. Once you do and decide that you're replacing your 223, you may as well sell that 6 cm too.

After thinning the herd to a 6.5 cm and a 22 cm, you'll realize that the 6.5 is a sloth.

Replace the 6.5 cm with a 6 UM. Perfection.

The benefit from a trainer 223 is hard to beat. While a 22cm is light recoiling, it’s ain’t no 24 grain of powder, 77 grain bullet light recoiling

First 10 shot group shot after a pressure ladder test. My best 10 shot group that I can remember. .486" PBB 18" 42gr. H4831sc under a 77 tmk. I felt a slightly heavier bolt lift on shot 10, so I am going to back it off a grain or 1.5 and hope it continues to hammer. Barrel only has 50 rds on it Avg of 10 shots was 3052 fps.

I agree. I don't ever plan on NOT owning a 223. But for the sake of this thread, I have to pump the 22 creed.

Has anyone else had their groups open up with the 88 eldm above 3000fps? I'm running a 7 twist 20" Criterion barrel.

I've got a 20" 7 twist ibi barrel around 3075 - 3100 and has been right around 1.5" with a few 10 shot groups overlayed. Works for what I do, they seem to be very barrel dependant though. They either shoot or not

Yes. Saami spec chamber works fine for all of those bullets listed.

Have any of your 22cm barrels had the longer throat? I plan on shooting 77 or 88TMK or the heavier hornady stuff. Would there be a disadvantage to having the .120 throat? Maybe a bit more bullet jump with 77 or 75s, but not sure that matters?

Nah you’ll be setup fine with the .120. It’s very common especially with the bullets you plan to use.

Just what is the SAMMI spec on throat length?

Sammi spec freebore is .081 probably to accommodate for the shorter Coal of factory ammo. Seems like most smiths use .120-.130 now. My smiths reamer is 130freebore. Then for the longest bullets there are reamers with .165-170 freebore

Alpha has 4 freebore options for their 22creed reamers 60,80,120,& 169
