That gun is a 22 arc gas gun. 2900 at muzzle. What velocity are they going? I’ve been shooting 80.5 bergers. They hammer them. But might try some 77 TMK just for fun

Run some numbers on 22 cm vs 223 for predator hunting. Once you do and decide that you're replacing your 223, you may as well sell that 6 cm too.
After thinning the herd to a 6.5 cm and a 22 cm, you'll realize that the 6.5 is a sloth.
Replace the 6.5 cm with a 6 UM. Perfection.
Gay little bastards sure can shoot!!!First 10 shot group shot after a pressure ladder test. My best 10 shot group that I can remember. .486" PBB 18" 42gr. H4831sc under a 77 tmk. I felt a slightly heavier bolt lift on shot 10, so I am going to back it off a grain or 1.5 and hope it continues to hammer. Barrel only has 50 rds on it Avg of 10 shots was 3052 fps.

I agree. I don't ever plan on NOT owning a 223. But for the sake of this thread, I have to pump the 22 creed. The benefit from a trainer 223 is hard to beat. While a 22cm is light recoiling, it’s ain’t no 24 grain of powder, 77 grain bullet light recoiling

Have any of your 22cm barrels had the longer throat? I plan on shooting 77 or 88TMK or the heavier hornady stuff. Would there be a disadvantage to having the .120 throat? Maybe a bit more bullet jump with 77 or 75s, but not sure that matters?Yes. Saami spec chamber works fine for all of those bullets listed.
Nah you’ll be setup fine with the .120. It’s very common especially with the bullets you plan to use.Have any of your 22cm barrels had the longer throat? Does it shoot anything else?My Proof 1:7 twist with 169 freebore does not like the 88’s. Don’t think I’ll go that long again…
77TMKs, 75ELDs probably but not enough data.Does it shoot anything else?

It did not like 88’s or either 80gr ELDX/M.
I want to try some Bergers still.
I don't know that it matters. I don't have a ton of 22cm experience, but my barrel was .080 and it shot the 88s well. It would be well into pressure with H1000 with 88gr bullets loaded deep and not even crunching, and most guys are using faster powders. .120 should be ideal with a lot of bullets.Have any of your 22cm barrels had the longer throat? Was that an 8 twist? Preferred has a tikka prefit on sale but it’s a sammi throat and 1:8 twist. I’m sure 77tmks are enough for anything I will do, but don’t want to loose the opportunity to run the new 88s because of not enough twistI don't know that it matters.
