The 22 creedmoor thread

Not the Creed, but we ran several hundred 80gn ELD-Ms through my sons 223 Rem PRS rifle. They shot fine from his 1/8" twist barrel in the low 2900fps. We swapped to the Berger 80.5s and have stuck with the Bergers as they are definitely more consistent than the 80gn ELD-M on targets. The Bergers just dont seem to produce the occasional fliers we were getting with the ELDs.

I’ve tried the 88s on 2 different barrels overr 4350 and both grouped at 100 like your 800

I want them to work so badly. You probably mentioned this but what’s the rifle setup?

Sometimes a barrel just doesn’t want to shoot a bullet unfortunately.

My 22 Creed is as follows:
Zermatt TL3
Bartlein 1:7.5 twist medium palma at 22”
Triggertech Diamond
Manners PRS2
NF NX8 2.5-20
Gunwerks 8ight suppressor

Been using it as my night hunting rig lately with 62 gr ELDVTs at 3650. Excited to try out some 69 gr bkitzkings here soon.

Tried to get my night rig to shoot 60TMKs but I wasn’t super happy with the results. Admittedly, I didn’t try super hard either. I loaded some good ol trusty 75ELDMs and bam!… started stacking them. Looks like I’ll be running the 75s at night. I’ve only got about 60 rounds through this rifle so far. My other 22CM didn’t really settle in until about 120 rounds down the barrel. It went from a 3/4” gun to a “way better then I can shoot” gun.

I loaded up some 80.5 Berger’s on some once fired brass with N555. Ran a pressure test up to 44 grains and didn’t see pressure.

So I loaded a few at 43.5 grains. Did a quick 4 shot group to check. Seems smoking!
