Yep. Pretty hefty alright. I’ll weigh the quarters and loose meat in the morning.Looks like a big bodied animal, well done
45.6gr N565 3355fps 30” barrel. I was running the 88eld at 3175fps in my 22” barrel with N160.My current load is 42.0 with the 88 and is 2975 FPS in an 18" tikka barrel.
What is your 565 load and speed?
Seems to be way too fast of a burn rate for this cartridge in my opinion.I tried 8208xbr this weekend and experienced pressure. Before I waste any more powder, has anyone developed a load with it?
I would agree, but I was curious.Seems to be way too fast of a burn rate for this cartridge in my opinion.
Please update this thread if you do try it. Rifles specs & load data alsohas anyone tried using N165? I have a pound so I might give it a shot with the 88s
I found heavy charge weights with very high fill rates of N555 and RL23 to give me the best performance from my 22in barrel with 77tmk. They shot well mid 3300s, and mid 3400s. The mid 3400 loads would show pressure in hot weather. If I recall upper 3200s was top end with H4350. The bearing surface on the 77tmk is very long for its weight.
Thanks! I've got 555 and a tab of 23. Wish alliant would go back to the glory days where you can buy their stuff for $25

I settled on superformance with 77 tmks out of a 24" proof barrel. 44 grains got me 3425, I think.Had chat gpt run a summary on the go to powder for the 77 tmks mentioned in this thread. Said h4350? But in taking that with a grain of salt. What should I start with?
Still planning on using the 88's but wouldn't mind trying a couple powders with the 77's.

77 TMK shoots well with RL-26 in my 22 Creed. 88s have shot well with RL-23. Haven’t used H4350 except for when I was testing the 95 SMK.

That could be it, but I used some short cases and some "regular" cases and it didn't seem to matter except they will get longer.I haven't yet.
After two effed up cases I figure I'd better hold off.
Probably need a bushing die. I've got a 6mm .270 bushing already. Probably be a good winter project. Hoping I figure it out.
I tried one shot and the Hornady case lube that's in a tin.
Maybe I need to trim the brass back to 1.910 before sizing?
My loading skills are definitely good enough to be dangerous but never have tried wildcatting brass down.

Seems like a good burn rate and is cooler burning than even h1000. Would be a great one to try in this cartridge IMO.has anyone tried using N165? I have a pound so I might give it a shot with the 88s
