I think it'd be a great kid rifle for whitetail around here at minimum. Just a fun shooter for them.

They are a great anyone rifle. I killed 15+ whitetails with it last fall. Total distance traveled between all of them was around 20 yards. That includes 4 nice mature bucks.

100% condition dependent but 500 would be my theoretical self imposed limit in perfect conditions. With my data at my hunting location the TMK should be over 1800fps past 650. I practice out to 1000 every weekend, and shoot multiple competitions every year. This rifle had no issue taking a nice one last October at just over 300 with a 75gr ELDM. Saw him stand out of his bed and put him right back into it.
