How is the accuracy (compared to other powders)?

N555 shoots great in the 22cm! My load with 88s will routinely shoot sub half minute for 5 rds at 300-400y on paper.

Repeated instances of slightly more consistent killing wounds with 80 ELDXs and 77 TMKs over 80 and 88 Ms? Yes.

This is the same with 103 Xs versus 108 Ms but look how many dozens and dozens of 108 M big game kills are on this forum…

They all kill. Hunt with whatever you’re loading up and sighted in for at the time, and/or what the gun shoots best.

Al's Sporting Goods (aka Bob Wards) in Helena shows that they have both the 80 ELDM and ELDX Hornady 22CM ammo in stock if you are heading that way at all. If it was me, I'd make the trip to try a couple of boxes of each before started loading on a new barrel just to have a baseline and get a feel for the barrel.

That’s great news! 88s with 4831 didn’t work for me. I have 88s with h1000 to test and 77 with 4831 to try out tomorrow.

Anyone used N555 with 77 TMKs? I'm curious about trying N555 before committing to my hunting season load. I have a pound, and VV has data for it so I may load some up to see. I'm getting 3115 from 36.9gr of Varget but I still worry a bit about case fill. I did a pressure ladder at 37.2/37.5/37.8/38.1 and got it up to 3227 but saw some light ejector marks so backed back down to 36.9.

I’ve been playing with the 75 ELDMs and N555. I was using 43.2 N555 with Fed 210 primer. The 75 ELDms was going 3400 out of 24” barrel. Great accuracy

Did some practice at the range with my 22 creed last weekend. 80 ELDM at 3150 is so easy and comfortable to shoot. 3 hits in a row shooting of my pack on a rock at 620 yards. I can’t wait to hunt with it this fall.

Not much of anything will shoot as well as that Berger, but the 75 likes to be jammed.

I shoot 75’s with a .055 jump and they shoot well. Here is 25 shots at 175 yards with different charges. 22” tikka 22-250 rechambered by Drew’s precision.

Well the 88 shot like trash with h1000 but the 77s with 4831 grouped sub moa. I’m happy!
Zeroed it and then hit a gallon jug at 630 yards first shot with the 77s

Still haven’t reached the point of testing myself, but I’d say no - I grab BC’s from the AB Quantum app before doing anything. They have G1 at .395 IIRC
