Not sure if this will work, but 75 gr ELDM out of my 16.5” at 220 yards this afternoon did quite well. High shoulder.

To add to this, I just purchased a Wolfhunter to go along with my Scythe for the 22CM/223 Tikka combo.I've shot the wolfhunter and scythe w/223 end cap side by side. The wolfhunter on a 22-250 was noticeably quieter than the scythe on a 223.
I was wondering if you ended up buying one. I saw the video of the tikka 223 with the raptor, and thinking a Wolfhunter would pair up nice on it.To add to this, I just purchased a Wolfhunter to go along with my Scythe for the 22CM/223 Tikka combo.
Nice. Looking forward to a comparison. To add to this, I just purchased a Wolfhunter to go along with my Scythe for the 22CM/223 Tikka combo.
I have 2 WolfHunters, one on a Tikka 22 Creed and one on Tikka .223….phenomenal can.To add to this, I just purchased a Wolfhunter to go along with my Scythe for the 22CM/223 Tikka combo.
I bet that has a lot to do with the brake on the scythe.I've shot the wolfhunter and scythe w/223 end cap side by side. The wolfhunter on a 22-250 was noticeably quieter than the scythe on a 223.
The brake wasn't on the scythe. It was just a 223 flat end cap.I bet that has a lot to do with the brake on the scythe.
22-250 doesn't have much recoil to begin with so idk if you could tell a difference there.
My harvester gen 1 with the brake has noticeably less recoil on my 3006 then with the ab raptor.
Nice! That's a sweet lookin rifle.Another 22 Creed victim. 75 gr ELD-M at 60 yards right up under the chin is quite effective

2) 320 yards broadside. hit low on the front shoulder into the leg area and made the loudest impact i’ve ever heard. Absolutely destroyed front leg and did not made it into the vitals. She traveled ~100 yards and I shot again at 400 quartering away. entered gut and made it to liver and a lung. (not a great wind call) Required a 3rd shot to the head.
I wouldn’t say the leg STOPPED it, but it felt obvious that there would not have been significant penetration. I will look back and see if I snapped a picture. I tend to not take many pictures when my hands are covered in blood.Did the leg stop it on way to vitals or was it too low/forward?
Might be time to go up to the 80's or 88. You definitely have the case capacity for them.I wouldn’t say the leg STOPPED it, but it felt obvious that there would not have been significant penetration. It was the first time I thought “man, a heavier bonded or thicker jacketed bullet would have been better in this situation”
ironically, the 147 eldm had the exact same wound characteristics on the larger animal. Through the tougher hide, into the shoulder through the heart and part of the jacket broke a rib and lodged in the offside hide. I think i’d love an 80ish grain bullet with similar internal damage to the eldm but could produce an exit for a bit better blood trail if needed. Not sure if it exists yet.Might be time to go up to the 80's or 88. You definitely have the case capacity for them.

I think that some guys are seeing more exits with the 80 ELDX. I hope to have a bolt action 22 ARC soon and hope that with the extra weight and little slower speeds that the 88 ELDM will have enough remaining to provide consistent upset with an exit.ironically, the 147 eldm had the exact same wound characteristics on the larger animal.
