I would worry more about 280 fps and 370 gr than the broadhead for a 100 yard shot. That combo won't do diddley if you hit anything more substantial than a rib at that distance. I would want 320+ and an arrow in the 4's myself. That's off the top of my head, you could run the numbers.
Anything over 300 fps would be extremely difficult if not near impossible to tune if he were shooting a fixed blade broad head. There is no need for that much speed. The op needs to increase his arrow weight if anything. 370 gr is a bit light. Maybe go up to 450gr. But then you inevitably see a decrease in speed. That is where it gets tricky.

For that long of a shot, and with your set up, I would consider the Helix. They fly really well, have a super low profile, and penetrate very well. Their thickness and single bevel produce quite a rotation in flight and in the wound channel.
That is very intriguing would definitely not expected that to be a long range head.

That was an old post from me :) I’ve tested at least a hundred more heads since that comment about the Helix. Now I have a letter better into about which heads are the most forgiving in flight. My YouTube Channel has a ton of those tests: Lusk Archery Adventures

Most fixed blades will get pushed off course at least 2-3x more by wind at that distance..

You get about 80% of the original speed at 100 yards, so about 65% of the energy and 80% of the momentum. Choose any broadhead that will work with those numbers and it will kill just fine. However, the angle of impact will be a bit steeper than a shorter shot, and it will take more than a second to reach the animal. So you have to take that into account.

Tim McGraw can kill a deer or buffalo, with just an arrow and hickory bow, from a hundred yards don't ya know? Apparently he does it all the time. You should be getting his broadhead of choice!

I'm curious where the op ended up at.

@PathFinder

What are you shooting now? What did you settle on?
Wow I had forgotten about this thread entirely. Took me a couple of years to work this all out to feel comfortable at that range. Shooting a Valkyrie setup. 250 spine shaft at 25.625", 22 gr aluminum collar, and a 250 jagger. Total at 545. Needless to say penetration is a total non issue. My longest kill is at 110 on muley buck last November. He made it all of 30 yards. First hit on my Mt goat last week was 87 yards, full pass through on a hard quartering shot.
All that said, despite the success with the equipment turning out, I'd kill a lot more stuff had I invested the same amount of thought and effort into stalking.

Why ignore the rest of the equation? Personally me I have shot my Vandiemans out to 80 yards but damn 100 yards there's way to many variables for a shot to go wrong. Heck I would rather take my 300 ultra and make a 1,000 yard shot on an animal vs 100 yards on a bow especially pushing that light of an arrow at that velocity. Below is a drop chart if that helps.
I think you missed the part where I'm shooting a 545 grain arrow now, at 263 fps.

Wouldn't an arrow/broadhead combo that shoots accurate at 30 yards, shoot accurate at 100 yards? Ed F
Bowmar has a good review on Sevre Broadheads on YouTube. Solid penetration and solid bevel. I haven't used them myself, but they are intriguing.
