I am up a tree this morning on a meat hunt and want to invite anyone hunting to post up. No hogs or deer so far but I did have a hawk land on a branch 3' above me. Turkeys are talking in the swamp pond to my right. What are the rest of you seeing ?

No hunting for me today, the Wife on are going to the Dining Facility to serve Thanksgiving Day dinner to the soldiers that could not be home with their loved ones.

Good Luck to you and any others that may be out enjoying a hunt today.

Used to be a Thanksgiving tradition of mine to hunt pheasants that morning. But that was also back when I could just go out the back door and start shooting. No hunting for me today......unless feral cats count.:)

2 small bucks so far here in SE KS. Turkey's were gobbling on the roost! They must know that by now they're safe this year.

I always try to hunt Thanksgiving morning if I can.

Littlebuf and I went up yesterday for a few hours to try and fill his muzzy deer tag. We saw 11 deer and one was a little 2x3 meat buck that would have tasted great. Littlebuf put a stalk on it and had the buck at 67 yds but didn't have a good shot angle so he let it walk.
