Texas Hog Hunting Outfitter Recommendation (Houston)

I'm heading to Texas to visit a friend over Labor Day weekend and we are looking for a one day hog hunt somewhere near-ish Houston. Dates would be either Saturday 9/4 or Sunday 9/5. Day hunt or night/thermal, this would be my friend's first hunt so more focus on a good experience (read: lots of hogs/opportunities) would be helpful. Is $500PP a reasonable max expectation?

Any suggestions or recommendations? I did a search and all I came up with was to avoid Independence Ranch

Look for lease permission to hunt on private property, pay 100 bucks and you get to hunt their property all day, I really dont think you need a guide for hog in Texas ?

You could try some of the nf north of Houston. Just a thought

edit: just read the rest of your post. Maybe not

You can try any direction from Houston. There are lots of hogs to the east, west, as well as south of Houston. One place many overlook are the coastal marshes.
